Doing Science of Cities and the Environment with Data and Simulation

There are many phenomena that can be understood through data analysis and simulation in society and cities, the environment that surrounds us. Using computers, we are building artificial societies and cities, and reproducing various phenomena in order to evaluate and analyze policies and measures. How do environmental problems affect residents of cities? What are necessary for evacuees’ health care in the event of a disaster? What is the best solution to solve urban problems? We conduct research to illuminate these questions through data analysis and simulation.
