Buildings including houses where we live are not only individual and collective spaces but also part of history. In this laboratory, we consider the meanings of past buildings, cities and nature that have been passed on to the present, and explore the future, referring to the past. For example, we conduct collaborative research with a museum that saves the discarded historical furniture and lends it to local shops and other facilities to preserve and use it. We have also started a project to explore the history of individuals and local communities through the activities of citizens that open their private gardens to the public.
