Investigating the Cutting-Edge Structural System That Becomes the Urban Infrastructure

In Structural System Laboratory, we investigate the Ultra-high-strength Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Structure as well as high-strength CFT (Concrete Filled Steel Tube) Structure, as the most advanced structural system, which are necessary to build skyscrapers in seismic countries like Japan. In addition, we propose seismic design and retrofit technology using latest resource-recycling pre-cast concrete structural system as well as wooden materials from a global viewpoint. Through the investigation on these cutting-edge technologies, the Lab aims to produce the professionals of the next generation.
